11/09/03 Brian's first Sushi; Joe's Pizza; First Card Game at the Albert w/Aaron, Peter, Brian, Me:

The process of moving Brian into NYC for good has just been completed. Phase 2 involves giving him exposure to some of the cultural things he has not yet exposed himself to. Tonight, Peter and Myself somehow managed to get Brian to go to a Japanese restaurant on Houston St. that none of us had been to before. Brian "doesn't eat Sushi." The above dish was more pleasing to the eye than the palate, but it consisted of various pieces of Sashimi in an interesting presentation and sauce.

This is Brian eating his first-ever sushi roll. Spicy tuna and avocado with real crab meat on top. He liked everything but the crab. He tried a traditional piece of Sushi and didn't like the fishiness, so he's apparently a roll person who likes it spicy. Cool. Better than nothing. Sapporo took a liking to him as well.

What do you do when you're near Bleecker St. and 6th avenue at any time, even if you've just eaten? Joe's Pizza!!! Some call it the best in NYC. I don't like it. I was full anyway. Brian was timid with the Sushi so he needed something extra.

Me on one of Brian's many cordless phones.

Aaron came over to play cards with us.

Somehow I was caught in a genuine moment of strong laughter. Not easy to get on camera. So what if it's a little off centered? I don't remember what I was laughing about, but I certainly thought it was funny.

The apartment and its first card game. It's extremely comfortable. This is the first apartment of a peer of mine that is making me quite jealous.

It's all about convenience. Wireless mouse. Even a wireless remote control specifically for controlling the playlist of music coming out of the computer!!!
