3/2/04 Disheveled Andrew (Living Under Republican Rule) goes to Vote for a Democratic Nominee:
This is what I will sometimes allow myself to look like on an "inside" day. That's a day when I have no intention of seeing anybody I know, or anybody who I would care seeing me in this condition. See tomorrow for a photo of what I look like on an "outside" day.
I did walk in the rain to vote for a democratic presidential candidate.
I voted for John Edwards. I feel that Kerry suffers from the same stiffness that plagued Al Gore in the previous election, proving that even the run for President is like a high school popularity vote. To beat Bush, one should do so at their own game, because their game is very effective. Never has such an anti-middle-class party gotten elected with such a majority of middle-class people. Their campaign messages (which have nothing to do with their actual policy) are working. Edwards has the charm, the charisma, and the positive message that resonates far more with those people, I think, than Kerry, even though Kerry looks like he's gonna win anyway. I hope Edwards ends up the Vice Presidential Candidate, and this is my show of support.
