3/27/04 Brian and I videotaping a NJ play, and at a NJ Friday's:

We go to a Friday's next to the High School in Ramsey, New Jersey, and this wait staff is fairly attractive and fairly quirky. We had a fun rapport with them, especially because we ended up at the table next to their home station (near the kitchen entrance) and it was early for dinner so there were too many of them and not enough meals to serve.

One of them, for example, made an animal out of tooth picks, olives, cherries, and lemon slices. It was super silly. And then they took turns animating it. Brian and I had a surprisingly good time... for Fridays. Brian left his phone number on the check receipt, and then we BOLTED out of there and felt like we were in High School and had a really good laugh.

While setting up for the play, Brian took a few moments to play the piano in the empty theatre.

The shows at Don Bosco are AMAZING. It's too bad this came out blurry, but just look at the spectacle of their costumes!!! This is for Oklahoma, which is normally a drab play at a High School, but they made it extremely entertaining. I look forward to their plays every year.
