7/7/04 Richard Cooks and Cleans; I throw out some clutter:

This is Richard's new kitchen toy. I saw this on TV once, so I was surprised when Rich brought it home. He says this is better than the one you see on the informercials.

He wanted to take Yams and make them into a flat "noodle" shape to wrap around some other ingredients.

But the consistency of the raw yam was a bit too tough for this device, and Richard had to push very hard. So hard, I thought he was going to slice off his hand when the yam slipped out.

He struggled for a while, just barely getting enough of what he needed, and thicker slices than he had wanted.

It was a cute presentation of ingredients.

It was allright, but it was definitely back to the drawing board on the logistical side.

Then Rich cleaned the apartment.

And I threw out some pieces of clutter that I knew I was no longer using.

Bye Bye! Probably the last "spring cleaning" for this apartment before we move out in December.
