7/18/04 Natalie begins Stained Glass Panels:

Stained glass projects begin as arts and crafts. It's really some serious art and layout work that goes into making the templates and the master design from which the project will rise. Natalie is far better at that than I, and so she actually begins the project herself, by making the full-size templates, making exact copies, and then cutting one of the two sets of templates into pieces.

First, she has to re-line the design in thick black marker. The black lines will be cut out of the project entirely, to leave room from the solder seams.

Natalie is so good with an exacto blade, that she was able to leave the black lines, and only the black lines, attached to this piece.
