8/28/04 Digging through old boxes and videos on Long Island; Finn MacCool's w/Mom:
I took a LIRR train to Mineola, and then took this M23 bus up to Manorhaven.
Mommy and I went to our local Irish eatery.
In the evening, I got the whim to go into the closet and organize more video tapes that I have yet to transfer to MiniDV. These are home videos spanning from 1993 to 1999.
And then I went into some boxes that haven't been unpacked since we lived in the Challet in 1999. I found a box with my oldest teddy bear, and some awards and plaques that used to hang in my room at the Challet. Teenage rooms are awesome. It's so great to have it be socially acceptable to decorate your living space with accolades, trophies, medals, pins, and plaques, all dedicated to showing off how great you are at things. Imagine if I put all that stuff back on display now. It would look like a doctor's office mixed with a high-school display cabinet. Not o.k. So what the heck do I do with all these awards?
I found a bag with christmas lights, and I remembered that they were from Justin and my New Years party at Water Street on December 31st, 2001! Garbage.
For the first time since we lived at 8 Vanad Drive (1997, I think), I put my old video tapes in number order. I catalogued them in 1996.
The missing numbers are already at 88 Greenwich, having just been transferred to MiniDV.
There's so many more that need to be archived!!! Ahhh!
