8/31/04 Sarah and Erin on Circle Line; Natalie at Typhoon and Kura for Dinner and Mochi:
Today, Sarah and Erin (Sarah's older sister) got to see me in action at Circle Line. I gave them a 3-hour tour:
Sarah took some photos along the way:
At the end of my day, there was a nice color in the sky, as the sun set on August, 2004.
Natalie and I went to Typhoon for dinner:
Guacamole Spring Rolls!!!!
The Guacamole Spring Roll is one of the most satisfying things I've ever eaten. They haven't had them for like a year, even though I ask every time I go. Finally, today, they said "yes." Here's a look inside. It's exactly what it sounds like it is. Guacamole in it's oozy form, inside a real spring roll shell. It comes with a bar-b-q-like dipping sauce.

Gyoza.
Eggplant.
Then, Natalie and I (mostly I) got a hankering for some strawberry Mochi (ice cream in rice flour dumpling). But the only place we know that has it is Kura. So, we walked down 1st Avenue, and went to Kura, just for dessert!
And there it was. We felt so decadent waltzing into our second Japanese restaurant of the evening, just for dessert.
We admired the bowl it comes in.
