12/31/04 New Years Eve - Ulivella
Style:
The Ulivellas' put as much effort into Breakfast as they put into
Dinner.

When I woke up, I discovered Phyllis cookin' the bacon!

There was enough food on the table already for a very large meal for
all of us. But there were a few more meals worths on the way.

We took a temporary internet hiatus while Breakfast cooked.


This tangerine juice is AMAZING. I think I drank the whole thing.

Sauce was getting ready for later on.





During New Year's Eve afternoon, they prepare the traditonal midnight
meal of sausages and peppers. But... this of course does not mean that
there will not be an over-stuffing dinner as well.


The New Year's Eve dinner is the one I dream about. Meatballs, sauce,
the full appetizer spread. It's just beyond words.




After dinner, we spent a few dead hours before the midnight excitement
playing pool.


Then the next door neighbors came by, as they often do, for a
pre-midnight dessert course. This is the part, by the way, that makes
it impossible for me to eat the sausage and peppers after midnight.

And then we descended to the basement for the first post-Dick-Clarke
New Year's Eve in many decades. I took the following two photos when
they were showing footage from previous years:
