02/08/05 Dinner and my
Fully-Functional Office:
A few photos from tonight's dinner:

I really LOVE it when Peter and David make this salad.

A shot of the magazines sitting on the edge of the kitchen counter.
Magazines and incoming snail-mail tend to accumulate here, as it is the
first table-height open surface you come to as you enter our apartment.
I took this photograph thinking that it would be interesting to look at
in the future. Not the future as in "when I get around to posting it 8
months from now," but the future when magazines don't look like this at
all, or, perhaps, when we no longer use old-fashioned PAPER for our
magazines. I imagine a future of PADD's, but that's because I'm a
closet trekky.

It seems that we've settled into a bit of a routine here. Now that
Peter and David's classes are firmly underway and talk of tests and
midterms has become more common, our daily dinner excursions have given
way to lots of cooking at home. Home cooking has also been mandated by
budget constraints, as we have all, in our own way, bankrupted
ourselves in the course of last month's always-out-for-dinner antics.

Here's a photo of my office, now that the clutter of true functionality
has begun to set in.
