05/27/05 Guy on S.U.V.; The Views from The Balcony; Taro Sushi for Dinner:
This afternoon, while delivering DVD's to a client on the upper west
side, I came across a man standing on top of his S.U.V. on West End
Avenue, apparently affixing some luggage to his roof.

This evening was one of my favorites for weather. The sky is filled
with medium-dark clouds, but right where the sun is setting, on the
Western Horizon, there is enough clear sky to let the light of the
setting sun come under the cloud cover. The result is an extremely
high-contrast set of colors and shades. Buildings look great against
the sky. Everything looks alive. A certain energy fills the air.

The wind was also strong. Look at the trees!

Looking down, I could see my downstairs neighbor also enjoying the view.

A hole opened in the clouds at one point, which is not very common.

And then I saw Natalie coming down the street from the grocery store!

There's Natalie on the left, and some kids playing jump rope in front of the lumber place on the right. This is Brooklyn.

Although it looked like Natalie had gone shopping to cook dinner tonight, we instead opted to blow a wad at Taro Sushi.

Botan (Sweet) Shrimp, head on.

They fry the head for eating.

Natalie eats this like a pro, eyeballs and all. I can and have and did eat it, but I get grossed out during and afterwards.

Scallop Sushi with Uni (Sea Urchin) on top. Mmmm.

Unfiltered (Nigori) Sake.

Sardine Sushi, I think.

Fried Ice Cream and Mochi.
